What's new: Beginning October 1, 2009, all inpatient claims with admission dates on or after October 1, will look for a Present on Admission (POA) indicator. The term POA refers to symptoms or conditions that exist at the time of inpatient admission. Claims missing a POA indicator for admission dates on or after October 1, 2009 will be denied.
