Here is what's new:  Effective March 17, 2010, Providers must complete eligibility & referral requirement inquiries online or through our interactive voice response system. You can verify eligibility online through myTRICARE Secure or by phone via IVR at 1-877-TRICARE (1-877-874-2273), Option 2.

As of October 1, 2009, all inpatient claims with admission dates on or after October 1, look for a Present on Admission (POA) indicator. The term POA refers to symptoms or conditions that exist at the time of inpatient admission.

DoD ID cards: The DoD is removing all Social Security Numbers (SSNs) from ID cards. A healthcare number (HCN) is replacing the SSN. In order to properly submit claims, please ask patients for their Sponsor’s SSN. Find more information about the  removal of SSNs from DoD ID cards.

OPPS: Read the latest information about the  Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS).

Claims with NDC numbers: Find information about packages (P) or units (U) when filing claims.

Duplicate Claims: Avoid duplicate claims and help cut healthcare costs. Learn more.

Non-Network Providers:  TRICARE Policy requires your signature in block FL80 of the UB04 paper claim form; otherwise, your claims will be returned.
