Billing Issue Resolved: On June 2, Health Net discovered a billing issue, which resulted in additional debits from some of our beneficiary’s accounts. Credits have been processed for the charges in error and refunds will be issued for any related service charges. Health Net has installed safeguards in place to prevent this type of occurrence from happening again. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have created.
Point-of-Service: To avoid higher out-of-pocket costs, make sure your specialist or surgeon has a valid referral on file before you go to a hospital.

Active Duty Service Members: Effective December 31, 2013, Active Duty Service members must obtain a waiver from DHA (Defense Health Agency) for any non-covered TRICARE service prior to receiving the service. An approved waiver is required for TRICARE to consider payment. The waiver request must be obtained from the Uniformed Services Headquarters POC's/Service Project Officers. The contact list of these POC's can be found in the TRICARE Operations Manual, Chapter 17, Addendum A.
