May I go to a doctor who is not my Primary Care Manager (PCM)?
If you don't have a referral from your PCM, you may still go to another doctor. TRICARE will then pay Point-of-Service (POS) benefits. You will have to meet an annual deductible of $300 (or $600 per family) and you will pay a 50% cost-share after meeting your annual deductible. The POS option allows you greater choice, but you will pay more for services you receive. We encourage TRICARE Prime members to seek the advice of their PCMs.
