TRICARE Young Adult Program
The TRICARE Young Adult (TYA) program is a new program available to eligible dependents who age out of TRICARE at 21 years old (or 23 years old if full-time college students) and who are not married or eligible for their own employer-sponsored coverage.
The program is for qualified, unmarried dependents up to age 26. Beneficiaries who meet this criteria can purchase TRICARE Standard/Extra health coverage on a month-to-month basis.
