Extended Care Health Option (ECHO)


 

The Extended Care Health Option (ECHO) program replaced the existing TRICARE Program for Persons with Disabilities (PFPWD). Find answers to your ECHO questions.

 

To receive TRICARE ECHO benefit authorization, all eligible beneficiaries must:

  • Enroll in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) of your sponsors' military service
  • Register with your regional contractor or Overseas TRICARE Area office

 

 

To complete EFMP enrollment, complete a DD form 2792 (medical summary) and/or 

DD form 2792-1 (special education/early intervention summary) and then submit the

form(s) to your EFMP coordinator for processing.
