I did not get a referral before I went into the hospital. Will TRICARE pay benefits?


Yes, TRICARE will pay under the Point-of-Service option. You will have to meet an annual deductible of $300 (or $600 per family) and you will pay a 50% cost-share after meeting your annual deductible. In many cases, your costs for hospital services you received without a referral can be very high. We encourage TRICARE Prime members to seek the advice of their PCMs.
