Our claim was returned for an Explanation of Benefits from the patient's other health information. But the patient says he has no other health insurance. How can we get this claim processed?
If claim indicates no OHI coverage, but DEERS or the BIS database indicates primary insurance coverage, a signed statement or verbal notice from the beneficiary or sponsor furnishing the termination date of the other coverage must be obtained to inactivate the positive OHI record.
