How do I file a claim for a patient who has moved to or from another region?
For patients in TRICARE Standard or TRICARE Extra, their residence at the time of service determines which contractor should receive the claim. For example, if your office is located in North Carolina, but the patient actually lives in California, you should send the claim to the contractor who processes claims for California (West Region). TRICARE Prime patients are enrolled by region, so you should send the claims to the contractor for that region.
